Meeting on the Med 2021 | Improving patient access to cell therapies

Emanuele Ostuni, Head of Europe, Cell and Gene Therapy, Novartis Oncology, East Hanover, NJ, discusses the progress that needs to be made in improving patient access to cell therapies and highlights the importance of ensuring that therapies are aimed at the patient population for which they are approved in order to maximize potential benefit. He also describes a number of logistical challenges that manufacturers have already faced and calls for the industry to work together more closely to improve the development pathway for future therapies.
