TERMIS 2021 | Spinal cord regeneration with dental stem cells

Anne des Rieux, PhD, Université catholique de Louvain, Louvain, Belgium, provides an overview of using dental stem cells to treat spinal cord injuries. In vivo and in vitro studies in mouse models have demonstrated promising results and additional research is currently being undertaken to assess how stem cells react to inflammatory stimuli, as well as genomic changes post-implant. This interview took place at the 6th World Congress of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS 2021).
